Lesson Day

This is Dave, riding Indy and leading Skookum - and boy he is getting just that. This gelding is just turning 2 this month and he is already about 15 2. This was his first day in the arena, it was very exciting he bucked twice and figured it was too much like work. I think his biggest problem will be being lazy. He is a very willing pupil and agrees to just about everything. I took some video but Dave doesn't want it on here. Skookum was trailing along behind Indy, he would reach out and nibble on Indy's leg or bum it is really a good thing Indy is tolerant. Well that was it for the lesson ....pretty boring Dave without the video

We went and picked up 6 of these blue roans when they were just babies. On the way home we were thinking of names. We were going thru a place called Skookumchuck. We decided to name him Skookum, he really has become his name because he really is getting to be very Skookum. I don't know where your from so maybe that word is something you don't use. Here in our part of the country even though somewhat outdated Skookum would mean.....not quite sure how to explain it......it's a good thing and in his case it means big and beautiful "He's Skookum"
